- Visit the official website of Intellectual Property India at ipindia.gov.in
- Click on the “Public Search” button in the home page details.
- Here, the list under the Public Search Button contains several options. Click on the Trademarks button. To see which page opens, click here.
- Select the search type among Wordmark, Vienna Code, and Phonetic.
- If it’s a word mark, enter the word for which you seek how to check if a trade mark is registered for that particular word. Select if it should start with, contain or match with that particular word you are searching for.
- Enter the class for which you wish to know if a trademark is registered for that particular word mark. For that, you need to check the list containing trade marks classification of goods and services to know which class your business falls under.
- Enter the captcha code in the space provided and click on the “Search” button.
